HELP

How can we help?

Search the answers below, or report a problem.

Getting started

Finding events

Open Events to see what is on in your area, on a map or in a list. You don’t need an account to look around. Open an event for its date, place and host, plus the price and a ticket or RSVP link when the host gives one.

Your account

Create an account when you want to keep an event. Your account is the overview, Saved holds your events and searches, and Settings holds your name and area.

New hosts

Open Host an event and answer two questions, and your workspace opens. Fill in your profile, then post your first event. How hosting works explains the rest.

Team members

The host’s owner invites you by email. Sign in with that address and open the link. It works once and expires in 14 days. Then you post and edit the host’s events from the Dashboard.

Admins

Start at the admin overview. Decisions wait in the Review queue, Listing reports and Problem reports. Open work is on the Plan.

Finding events

Search and filters

The search box on Events takes a word, a town or a zip code. Filters holds the date, category and price. The list opens on the next 7 days; the link at the end of it shows everything coming up.

Saving events and searches

Tap the heart on an event to keep it, and use Save this search in Filters to keep a search. You need an account for both. They wait on your Saved page, upcoming events first.

Following a host

Follow a host from the Hosts page. You need an account, and if you aren’t signed in yet, Poppin finishes the follow after you sign in.

Tickets

Poppin lists events. It doesn’t run them or sell their tickets. When a host gives a ticket or RSVP link, the event page sends you to their booking page. Refunds for tickets are between you and the host or ticket seller.

The weekend email

Each area’s weekend email goes out every Thursday. You confirm your address before the first one, and every email has an unsubscribe link.

Your account

Signing in and your password

Sign in at the sign-in page with your email address. New here? The same page creates an account. If you forgot your password, reset it.

Changing your name or area

Both are in Settings.

Deleting your account

Open Settings and type your email address to confirm. It takes effect at once: your account, saves, searches and follows are deleted, and your weekend email subscription is removed.

If you own a host page, ask us to close it or hand it to a teammate first: hello@findwhatspoppin.com. The Privacy Policy has the rest.

Hosting

How hosting works

Open Host an event and answer two questions, and your workspace opens. Listing events is free. Post an event and submit it.

We review a new host’s events before they go live, until 3 have been approved. After that, your events publish at once. A series counts once, and events that were rejected or archived don’t count.

What the status words mean

Your Events page shows one word per event. Draft: saved, and private until you submit it. Pending review: waiting for us. Published: live on Poppin. Rejected: we didn’t publish it, and the edit page says why. Archived: taken off Poppin. Expired: the date has passed. To list an archived or expired event again, change its date and submit it.

Why is my event in review?

We review a new host’s events before they go live, until 3 have been approved. It keeps the listings on Poppin reliable. Your event stays on your Events page as pending review until we decide, and we email the host’s owner when it is published.

What happens if an event isn’t published

We email the host’s owner the reason, and it shows at the top of the event’s edit page. Fix what it names and submit the event again. Our Guidelines say what belongs on Poppin.

Copying an event

On your Events page, open the event’s menu and choose Duplicate. Change the date, then submit the copy.

For a published event, open its menu on your Events page and choose Print flyer.

Poppin already lists my events

Poppin picks up public events and credits their source. To take over your page, open it from Hosts and use Is this your page? We review the request. To have a listing taken down instead, write to hello@findwhatspoppin.com.

Yes. Compare them on Pricing and start one from there. Listing events is free and stays free, with no monthly limit.

What each plan adds

Starter is free: unlimited events and a view count on each. Host adds your own logo and brand colours on share cards, and full analytics. Pro adds featured placement, a reach report every week and the view guarantee. Builder adds every city you run events in and seats for up to 5 people. Pricing has the prices.

Trials and cancelling

Pro and Builder come with a free trial, and starting one takes a card. Host has none. Each host gets one trial. To cancel, open Billing and choose Manage subscription. The plan keeps working until the end of the period you paid for, then your page returns to the free plan and your listings stay up.

Refunds

Payments aren’t refunded for partial months or unused features, except where the Terms say otherwise (the view guarantee credit, a sponsor slot that doesn’t run, a boost that can’t run, an Event promo pack not delivered in time) or where the law requires it.

For a charge you don’t recognise or a refund, write to hello@findwhatspoppin.com.

Teams

What a team member can do

A team member posts and edits the host’s events. Billing and the team stay with the owner, and promo packs are bought by the owner.

Inviting someone to your team

Team seats come with the Builder plan. The owner invites people on the Team page. Each person signs in with the invited address and opens the link, which works once and expires in 14 days. Removing someone stops them editing your events.

Why is my team access paused?

The host’s plan no longer includes team seats, or the owner’s hosting has ended. Ask the host’s owner to check their plan. Your access returns when it does, and you don’t need a second host page.
